Panjaa is a stylish action entertainer without much substance.
Story : Jackie runs a mafia empire with the help of his loyal man Pawan, who one fine night kills his ( Jackie`s ) son in unexpected circumstances. How Pawan manages to come out from this bloodshed to live a peaceful life forms the rest of the story.
Story & Screen Play : Nothing new, screenplay is flat and rather boring.
Performances : Its Pawan’s show all the way. The film offers a new stylish PK for his fans and they will truly going to love this. Jackie, Kulakarni, Tanikella & the rest of the Gang did a neat Job. And both the heroines aren’t worthful for their roles.
Songs & Background Music : Okay & BGM Should have been better. Yuvan should atleast have used the original Panjaa Title Music in the film.
Direction : Okay.
Plus : Pawan, Pre Interval Episode & 2 Songs.
Minus : Flat Screenplay, Lack of Emotional connect & also Commercial elements .
Overall Movie Rating : 2.5/ 5 ( But A Treat for Fans)
BoxOffice Verdict :
Panjaa was a sell out only in limited areas unlike other recent big releases. The film has opened to a poor response in the mass dominated areas and from here on it will be difficult to sustain at the Boxoffice.
